This May Loch Tummel Sailing Club is taking part in the RYA Scotland’s Push the boat out, this is a scheme to give people who have never been in a boat the chance to try sailing.
We will be doing this on 3 Saturdays, May 14, 21 and 28th, there will be various boats and activities to try so why not come along and give it a go. The sailing will be supervised by qualified instructors and will have safety boat cover at all times. All safety equipment will be provided, all you will need is a towel and a change of clothing a be prepared to possibly get a bit wet.
At the club we have sailors of all ages and abilities from pre-school to octogenarians, members who compete throughout the country and abroad at various competitive levels.
We run racing every Sunday from April till October and as well as Tummel Week, a family sailing week, in July and several regattas for visiting sailors.
It is not all about racing though and members can use the club all week and there are many who just want to go messing about in boats.
The event is being supported by Rannoch Pennies from the Community and The Scottish Soup Company with a light lunch of soup and a roll being provided.
If you can help us plan by indicating which day you would be attending and any previous background in Sailing or Watersports you have by completing the form http://goo.gl/forms/WtGaFue1kC
See you on the day of your choice.
